Its nothing to do with 30years on that they dont sound the same….. they dont sound the same cause they have NO ALEX. Im only 24 so never got the chance to see them with alex, shows with alex looked unbeleivible. Though i saw them without alex and it wasnt anything special. R.I.P. alex….. Legend!
Ahh, yes….. Spiderman AND Santa clause. Thank you for posting this piece of sheer brilliance. Celtic soul music.
SAHB live was some of the best theatre I ever saw. Massive influence.
Because they still are the SAHB..Even without alex.. a good memorial to him.. they could have changed there name. back to Teargas.. They dont sound the same today. coz they are 30 years on..!! But “Zal “has a new band.. so it might be the end for S.A.H.B..?
I have to say i love this video and ive recently been listening to quite a lot of sahb. the reason for this is because my dad knew alex, grew up next to him in Glasgow and was good friends with his brother Les Harvey. Alex taught my dad to play the Banjo (his first instrument) and in his youth my dad played along side Les in the KInning Park Ramblers. Only now have i fully appreciated what my told me before!
Aaah memories – I was fortunate to see SAHB live on many occassions and vividly remember the 1st time hearing ‘Anthem’ live. The pipes sounded distant then got louder as the pipe band marched down the centre of the theatre in amongst the crowd.
What a live act SAHB were
he died like a true rock n roller, not like that cunt jagger who has a pension, that cunt alice cooper who plays golf and that cunt pete townsend who looks at,well you know what in the name of research

Greatest talent, heavily influenced by famed Belgian singer-songwriter Jacques Brel.
