You can tell it’s a crowd consisting of 70% guitar players who are pretty much motionless and trying to observe Trower’s tecnique as best as they possibly can.

I’ve seen Robin and his band twice in the last few years, most recently at the House of Blues in Chicago in June! Fantastic show! He seemed to get better as the night went along. His playing is so smooth and effortless. I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves. If you love great guitar playing and haven’t heard much of his music, check it out. And if possible, see him in person. You won’t be disappointed.

He CREATES in the Hendrix style but at once original . Who else did that ? OH yeah Frank Marino to. This IS the REAL THING. Somehow I think Bad Co, Free Vocalist would work here as well, but this singer is excellent at channeling the original vibe.

They toured Europe and America only last year.

Found it out in the meantime, thanks anyway. So are they still touring regularly? At the moment all I can find here (Germany) is Jack Bruce and Robin Trower, but I would really love to hear some of the older Robin Trower stuff instead.

Davey Pattison. He has been the singer with this band for over twenty years, on and off.

Who sings? He’s really good. Even sounds quite a bit like Jim Dewar, too.

God Bless Robin Trower!!! He fucking shredds, and it’s too bad he’s underrated, and doesn’t get the fucking recognition he deserves!!! Especially after hanging around, as long as he has!!! KORN & LIMP BIZKIT, has FUCKED, Robin Trower!! He out-classes BOTH bands~~~

Bloody hell, I’m the bald bloke with glasses headbanging in the audience!

Agree totally, on the night ‘Secret Place’ was the best song. Shouldn’t been taken out of the set for the 2006 tour. In fact, it should be reinstalled for the 2008 tour setlist!
