For the longest time when I was growing up I thought this was by Ted Nugent…Yeah I was wrong….on another note those Winter brothers are from my neck of the woods.

I dont think he did it on purpose. in all the other videos I watched, he sang them in sequence. Plus, Dan and Edgar sang the harmonies in this video. Not a big deal tho. Just pointing out the goof. Alot of bands do the same thing live.

” … he did mess up that part. he paused for a sec and said “…truck on out and spread the news” when that line was supposed to be “lawdy mama, light my fuse.” …”

Let me get this straight. You are looking for ACCURACY and CONSISTENCY in a song called “Rock ‘N Roll Hoochi Koo”?

Are you also concerned whether or not “Hoochie Koo” is spelled correctly?

actually he mixed up the 1st part of the chorus with the 2nd part. . Its supposed to be “light my fuse” then “spread the news”. He had them the other way around.

Yeah, of course if there’s a rest in the lyric pattern, that OBVIOUSLY means he fucked up the song.

    Sorry, my bad.

@JBPURCELL o really? why does he pause, then say the wrong line, and then the background singers sing the right one? even if im wrong, sounds pretty close to me dumbass

I wish I could have met or at least seen Jerry play live at least once before he died. I think he was an outstanding player from what I’ve seen on video with EWB and Bonaroo. After discovering his playing here on youtube, I was very sad to hear of his passing. RIP Jerry. See you on the other side.

this is a precurser to ac/dc and later van halen… hugely influential song.

Wow teamhidden the only people talking short must be stupid. I was born in 1962 and I was searching for this song. Tunes in my head back in the 70s. No music made today. Glad you met Rick, Ronnie Vanzant was short too, Artists from my era will never die. That was rock and roll. When I am 80 sitting on a rocking chair I won’t be listening to the boom boom boom crap they play today. I’ll be listening to the reall music.
