They don’t make them like that anymore, the exception to the rule might be “the mars volta”, these guys push the limits of nowadays music. John McLaughlin hasn’t really slowed down too much either.

Sorry to tell you, but it’s not MO but ‘The Mahavishu Project’ led by Gregg Bendian . Not just a ‘tribute band’ though they’re much better than that, check them out on youtube. Still deff worth going to see, I know I would.

OK guys sit down and get ready for this. Im from CT and i just found out the Mahavishnu Orchestra is playing a club in New Haven CT called toads place! I subsequently phished around on the net and found no news of a reunion. Anyone have any insights into this phenomenon? I am keeping fingers crossed on this one.

this is the music where you look at your instruments and say good god forget it! these guys were incredible! the only band today incorporating a violinist in their band is dave matthews band. they have out there jams sometimes but nothing like this man.
