There is no question mahavishnu is far superior to BOC, and John McLaughlin is an extremely good guitarist.

I find MVO far superior to BOC. I say they along with RTF are the epitome of music so to speak. I also, I agree that McLaughlin nowhere sounds like Santana; two completely different artists and styles.
