Audio Track from 1975 album Visions of the Emerald Beyond Eternity’s Breath Pt 1 & 2 John Mclaughlin – Guitar Narada Michael Walden – Drums Jean-Luc Ponty – Voilin Ralph Armstrong – Bass Guitar Gayle Moran – Vocals , Keyboards Basically mid 70’s Hippie Prog Music. But the musicianship is incredible. Sorry about the trebliness of the track. I pulled it off my album with a USB converter and I can’t adjust the default settings. Hope you enjoy.

Chills from the tips of my toes to the top of my head. Amazing on so many levels. Narada just nails it. The bass line following Mclaughin’s intro riff gives it such depth. I even like the scratchy LP recording.

Wow, I had know idea that wasn’t Billy Cobham. Narada is the man as well. This song makes me think of that Santana and Mclaughlin album when the vocals kick in. P.S. That song “The Life Divine” is so intense, they make their guitars song a mile long.

Ohhhhh myyyyy goodness. I had totally forgotten about this track (even though I’m still a big fan of early 70’s prog/fusion stuff).
You are absolutely right – definitely an amazing performance by walden – but the sounds of the drum recording are fantastic. The attack just launches the drums and makes the whole song soo powerful. Sweeeet!

This is awesome, I like the Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scott’s version too. Jazz fusion needs to make a comeback
