yo drum dudez, one of ya’s definitely right but anyway ~ the bashed up Porsche w/ the rock star outside is jsut freaky. r.i.p. CP ~ you came, ya’ saw – ya kicked ASS!
Cozy, the “he” to which I was referrring, played only on 1 WS album, check your facts. I grew up on WS and know their members well. Cozy was on “Slide it In” – (1984). And toured with WS in from “82-84. I loved “Slide it in”, so I know their discology very well. Cheers.
Ok.. maybe your right. But I just cant shake that the drumming sounds sooo Aynsley Dunbarish at times. Listen to that ride thing during the solo in “Slow and easy” and compare the drumming on that song to, for example the drumming on the album Infinity by Journey(Aynsley). Though the drumming is a bit tamer and a tad slicker here, Wheels in the sky is quite similar to the drumming on Gambler and Slow an’ easy. Dunbar plays drums on the 1987 album, so its not such an outlandish idea. No?
Cute. Ok I’m stupid.
But what do you mean of course it is? Of course its Mel playing guitar and and Aynsley playing drums? Of course John Sykes is the man? What of course?
He sure is! Cozy too.
But this is not their playing you can hear on this recording. Some guitar overdubs like the pinched harmonics in the end of the intro and some overdubs of rythm guitar wich are not present in Mel Galleys playing from the original UK mix of the Slide It In record. You can clearly hear that the solo is not at all in Sykes style. Nor are the drums in Cozy’s, both are much too tame and lightweight. No disrespect to Mel Galley or Aynsley Dunbar, they were great players.

Neil Murray, the bassist, looks like Lieutenant Dan from Forrest Gump, when he had long hair in that movie… but, motherf*ck, this still rocks!

Check out the unplugged set they have posted on here. Even Jimmie page said he thought DC was a better singer than Plant. RIP CP

Simple – Whitesnake kicks ass.
Truly an underrated band often confused for 80s glam rock (I still love that shit too, but WS far exceeds)
