This video is from Nico: An Underground Experience and Heroine DVD. An Underground Experience is a seedy documentation of one of the most important icons of subculture. She is caught on suitably grainy video footage doing what she did best, performing in an underground club. Shot in the early 80’s with punk rock as an audience the film is hardly stunning, yet this somehow enhances its authenticity. @golden2brown What? everyone should do alot of heroin, and all the other tabu-drugs to. What in the hell kind of statement is that? “dont do heroin!!?” Life seems kind of personal to me. I know alot of people who did alot of “hard” drugs and came out the other end. When will assorted fuckmuppets stop blaming the chemicals? That’s all political.

@dmartens101 In the Nico book ‘The End’ I believe there’s a story about Nico getting pissed when one of her sources gets her coke instead of heroin, so I’m guessing she didn’t use it much. I also don’t think she would have wanted the stimulation coke gives you.

@DjDruggun (..) you can´t deny the fact that she´s so high, and you know what? the performance could be even better, much much better without the drugs.. i now tend to admire and understand more creativity without them. i respect more people who don´t do drugs. it has been a struggle for me too, dude! but.. listen to what zappa had to say about it; he´ll be of course much better than me explaining it.
